With a geothermal water park and forest cottages, the future of green, sustainable tourism has arrived. A new holiday park concept just 6km from Disneyland Paris is raising the bar for green, sustainable tourism. Villages Nature Paris is the result of collaboration between Euro Disney SCA and the European-based Groupe Pierre & Vacances Center Parcs, who are pioneering a completely new approach to holidays, bringing visitors back to nature and celebrating its diversity and abundance.
Villages Nature Paris is a sustainable destination in which everything has been designed to minimise the ecological footprint of this site, setting new standards in the tourist industry. Geothermal energy covers 100 per cent of the heating needs at Villages Nature Paris, equivalent to economising 9,000 tonnes of CO2. Thanks to this heat source, at the Aqualagon – the showpiece of the resort – you can swim all the year round in water at a temperature of 30°C.
The resort, which has been created with the expertise of award—winning British sustainability experts Bioregional, has its own farm, forests, meadows, lake and spa. Families can experience horse riding, boating, hiking, and above all, spending time with each other and getting away from it all.
Dreamt up back in 2003 and now open to the public, 90 per cent of Villages Nature surface area is made up of green spaces and is centred around Europe’s largest Aqua park, which is both indoor and outdoor, and its 3,500sq m geothermal lagoon. Here you will find slides, wave pools, Jacuzzis, white-water rivers, water trees and children’s pools. When the weather is warm, you can also bathe in the natural lake, relax on the beach and play games.
Whether holidaying with family, friends or as a couple, there is a great range of accommodation. Lakeside or forest holiday apartments or cottages are especially great for families, where you can live in tune with nature in a unique, leafy village setting. Alongside Aqualagon, there are four other immersive worlds to explore: BelleVie Farm, the Extraordinary Gardens, the forest of Legends and the Lakeside Promenade.
BelleVie Farm is a working organic farm where the produce is sold and served in the resort’s many eateries. Extraordinary Gardens is a world that is as fascinating to visit at night as it is a day. Based around the four elements – earth, water, wind and fire – it is where you can spend quality downtime with family and loved ones.
Visitors of all ages can enjoy getting wild in the natural world at The Forest of Legends, and at Lakeside Promenade, under the Hanging Gardens, a haven of top restaurants and great shopping in a lively village atmosphere can be found.
Village Nature Paris can be booked for arrivals on Mondays for four nights or Fridays for three nights up until September, with the option to include one to four-day entry to the Disney Parks.
