The Ultimate James Bond (007) Exotic Short Break

Dolomites - Italy
In the Bond movie ‘For Your Eyes Only’ 007 stayed at the five-stared Miramonti Majestic Grand Hotel, in Cortina d’Ampezzo part of the Dolomiti skiing area. Here you can enjoy the luxurious facilities with one exception; you will not get the chase down the slopes by some rifle wielding rogue assassins. The Dolomites is will know for it majestic ski slopes and an ideal winter break destination.

Jamaica
Jamaica is the birthplace of the James Bond character; Ian Fleming built a house here after the Second World War and wrote the 14 James Bond Thrillers here. The movies “Dr No” and “Live and Let Die” were partially film on the island. You too can be 007 by enjoying its white-sand beaches, visit its caves, crocodile farm, Dunn’s River Falls and Laughing Waters Beach. While there you can even stay at the Bond house itself; now called Fleming Villa. There is also the FieldSpa for should you need to unknotting those tight muscles.

Udaipur - India
The Taj Lake Palace, in India was the home of the thirteenth Bond movie “Octopussy”.  Built around Lake Pichola about 256 year ago lies in the middle of the lake, its the summer palace of Maharana. Udaipur is renowned as one of the most romantic places in India. Unlike in “Octopussy” you will not be required to where a disguise to enter but do need to be cleared to cross the Lake in advance if you are not a hotel resident, but being 007 of course you will be a guest.

Egypt
Egypt played host to the Bond movies “Diamonds are Forever” and “The Spy Who Loved Me”.  Planning to take a 007 trip to Egypt? There are so much to see in Egypt, but we would recommend what James Bond would do – take a Nile Cruise. There are cruise that starts in Cairo and finish in Aswan, taking in all the great sights of Upper Egypt, including Giza. In Giza you can see the pyramids and the Sphinx, the rock-tombs of Beni Hassan and the temples of Hathor and Luxor.  In Aswan you can visit Aga Khan’s tomb and the surrounding desert and go fishing on Lake Nasser above the Aswan High Dam.

New Arleans
New Arleans like Jamaica played a part in the making of “Live and Let Die” movie. Here you can hang out in some very hip clubs, ones that 007 would visit, like the W Hotels.

Venice - Italy
No city says seduction quite like Venice, and it was this seduction that drew the film makers to make three Bond movies here, “Moonraker”, “From Russa with Love” and “Casino Royale”.  If you are following 007, why not chill out at the Cipriani, were Daniel Craig was base during filming. The hotel is situated on the other side of the lagoon away from the hustle and bustle of the city. They offer a movie tour, so you can get to visit the locations of the James Bond films and even kayaking tours were you can kayak to some of the city’s hidden locations.

Japan
For your James Bond break to Japan you can go on a Bond-Themed tour where they will take you to fifth James Bond film “You Only Live Twice” locations. You will visit the set of Tiger Tanaka’s top-secret ninja training camp-Himeji Castle in Hyogo. You will also visit the Bond Museum on Naoshima.

Istanbul - Turkey
The city’s rustic charm has played host to three James Bond films “From Russia with Love”, “The World is not Enough” and “Skyfall”. Why not go for luxury in the Turkish capital and stay at the Ciragan Palace, a former Ottoman palace. It is situated on the banks of the Bosphorus, from here you can enjoy Istanbul’s many attractions, including the Grand Bazaar, Hagia Sophia and visit the Blue Mosque.

Brazil/Argentina
On this short break there is no chance of you having a fight on Rio’s Sugarloaf Mountain cable car, but like Roger More in “Moonraker” you can experience the same adrenaline rush by having a speedboat ride on the Iguazu River or you can visit the falls.
